Services for Adults with Developmental Disabilities

Various social and support services for adults with developmental disabilities.
Programs available include:
  • Dinner Groups: Three social and dinner groups. Each group is facilitated by two staff with six to eight participants, for a 9-month session. Participants learn new cooking skills and activities while they prepare and enjoy a meal together.
  • Employment: Helps adults over 19 with developmental disabilities achieve success with employers and fuller participation in their community.
  • Community Inclusion: Provide voluntary individual and group services to adults over 19 years old to strengthen daily living skills with the goal of greater independence and self-esteem. Supports focus on communication, life skills, social skills, community access, self-advocacy, and employment.
  • Day Program: Comprises three different programs available to adults 19 and older who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability.

Once Thrive receives a referral from Community Living BC, their team will contact you to begin services.
