Victoria Best Babies

Free pre and post natal supports services.
Victoria Best Babies is a Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Program sponsored by Fernwood NRG with funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada. Victoria Best Babies serves pregnant and parenting parents of children ages 0-1 year. Due to space restraints, they are currently only serving low-income families. The program provides:
  • Group Support
  • Educational sessions
  • One-on-one support
  • Monthly food vouchers and Good Food Box produce
  • Prenatal vitamins and vitamin D drops
  • Baby food demos
  • Healthy snacks
  • Hospital tours and hospital pre-registration
  • Online access to a Public Health Nurse, a Dietitian, and a Dental Hygienist


Post-natal discussion groups run on Wednesdays from 12:40pm-2:00pm. This group is for parents and their babies ages 0 months-1year old. We target low-income families and those facing challenging life circumstances. Discussions are led by various members of the staff and the community. Public Health Nurse, Dietitian, Program Coordinator, and Family Support Workers are available for support.

Pre-natal classes run on Thursdays from 12:40pm-2:00pm. This group is for pregnant people and their older toddlers (if applicable). They target low-income families and those facing challenging life circumstances. Discussions are led by various members of the staff and the community. Public Health Nurse, Dietitian, Program Coordinator, and Family Support Workers are available for support.

Zoom Best Babies classes run on Mondays from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
