Offers free support and education programs to individuals and their families with mental illness
Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island (MHRP SI) provides FREE and SELF-REFERRAL programs and services for individuals and their loved ones looking for support in coping with mental illness or a mental health challenge, with or without the presence of substance use. *Please note that no formal diagnosis is required to access services.

MHRP SI offers peer support, counselling, system navigation, drop-in support groups, psychoeducation programs, and more! From time to time, we also offer special interest programs or workshops such as the Anti-Depression Skills Workshop or Therapeutic Photography.

  • 1:1 Peer Support
  • Transitional Discharge Model Peer Support
  • Family Peer Support
  • Family Counselling (up to 6 free sessions)
  • Family Support Groups – Friends and Family, Spouses and Partners
  • Support Groups for Individuals – Hope and Recovery, Men’s Social Circle, Women’s Support Circle, PRISM (queer mental health group)
  • Workshops - Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Family Recovery Journey, Antidepressant Skills Workshop, Therapeutic Photography
  • Resource Library
  • Memorial Fund
  • Volunteer Opportunities
