Mobile Health Outreach - Nanaimo

Provided by Nanaimo and Area Resource Services for Families (NARSF)

Provides free and confidential safer sex and drug use supplies, rapid point of care (poc) HIV,HCV testing, referrals, overdose prevention and harm reduction information service to Cowichan Lake, Duncan, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, and Parksville areas.
Services are based on a harm reduction philosophy building on client strengths. The intent of work with clients is to recognize strengths, build on the individuals' capacity to make healthier life choices, reduce transmission of HepB/HepC/HIV and other sexually transmitted infections and reflect for the individual their state of readiness for change.

Mobile Outreach Hours:
  • Cowichan Lake and Cowichan area: Tuesdays 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Parksville: Thursdays 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Nanaimo and Ladysmith: Wednesdays 4:00 PM - 8:30 PM; Fridays 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM; and Saturdays 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM
