Youth and Family Conflict Resolution
Family / Parenting, Mental Health - Adult, Mental Health - Child & Youth, Services for Children, and Services for Youth

The counsellor can help families use their strengths to reduce conflict within the family and develop respectful plans to minimize future conflict.
The counsellor works with youth to:
- improve communication skills
- build positive coping skills
- develop different ways of solving problems
- handle difficult situations
The counsellor works with parents to:
- better understand adolescent development
- demonstrate and practice more effective communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
- “pick and choose your battles” and hopefully bring more peace and harmony to the family home
- provide referrals to other services
