Crisis Text services provide non-judgemental emotional support via online SMS texting services, as well as community resource links. All crisis text conversations are confidential. Crisis Text primarily serves the Vancouver Island area.
Victoria/South Gulf Islands Integrated Mobile Crisis Response Team: The team is available every day of the year from 1:00 PM - 12:00 midnight. Provides service to people of all ages experiencing urgent/emergent mental health problems, often with related addiction issues.
Cowichan Valley Crisis Response Team: The team is available seven days a week from 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Evening crisis response is provided by Cowichan District Hospital. Provides emergency services aimed at the assessment and rapid stabilization of acute symptoms of mental illness and/or emotional distress.
Nanaimo Access/Crisis Services Mobile Response Team: The mobile community crisis response team is available Monday - Friday, 10 AM - 6:15 PM.
Port Alberni Community Response Team: Provides assessment and stabilization for clients experiencing an acute psychiatric emergency or mental health crisis. Available Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. After hours and weekend crisis response provided by West Coast General Hospital Emergency Department.
