Memory Cafe is a social gathering where care partners can relax, unwind and have fun with their family member with memory loss.
Memory Café Northshore is designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals with memory loss and their family by fostering social connections, stimulating cognitive function, and reducing caregiver stress. The programs are unique in their focus on engagement in arts, music, and drama. They create a caring communities that reduce dementia stigma and social isolation. It is the only arts/music program for persons with dementia in the area. Programs are offered at Silver Harbour Seniors’ Activity Centre .
Eligibility: A dementia diagnosis is required and a family or friend must attend each week.
Cost: The program fee is $99.00 per 10 week program. Half price programs are offered to anybody who needs it.
