Provides various goods, supplies and supports to single parents in the Greater Victoria area.

1Up is a registered non-profit charity that serves single parents supporting dependant children from 0 -18. Services are free to members, but registration to become a member is required. The following services are offered:

Clothing and Goods: Members have access to our clothing and goods room, which is stocked with a variety of new and gently used clothing in sizes that range from teen sized to adult. Members will also find a small assortment of toiletries available, such as soaps, makeup, toothpaste, shampoos, and lotions available.
Market Day: Members are invited to drop by every Wednesday between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM to pick-up a changing assortment of non-perishable staples, fresh bread, produce, dairy, and toiletries.
Moms Mentorship Program: The ‘Moms and Mentors‘ Program connects single mothers with volunteer mentors from the community, for a year of friendship and support. Moms and mentors spend about two hours per week together.
Dads Mentorship Program: The "Dads With Dads Mentoring Connections” brings together dads who identify as single parents with volunteer mentors to create a sense of community and supportive acceptance. Dads and their mentors can meet up to share community connection at the Dads drop-in group. They can enjoy telephone chats, share face to face, or connect through their interests.
Family Navigator: Provides single parents with help in navigating and accessing community supports in the Greater Victoria Region.
Birthday Program: 1UP is happy to support our members with gifts for their children’s birthdays. Members can email birthday@singleparentvictoria.ca 2 to 3 weeks before their child’s birthday to request a birthday gift.
School Supplies: In early July, members are invited via email to sign-up for a set of basic school supplies for their children in K-12. School supplies are available on a first-come first-served basis.
