Provided by Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre
- The Sound of Change Initiative: Provides free hearing assessments, refurbished hearing aids, and communication devices to vulnerable and at-risk populations including low-income seniors and adults.
- Employment Support: Offers specialized employment services to Deaf and hard of hearing persons and their employers throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
- Hearing Health Services: Provides hearing aids and hearing health services for everyone. Full audiology services supported by state of the art equipment.
- Family Services: Provides services to families such as home-based sign language instruction, 'role model’ support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and youth, information, referral and support to access government and community resources and case management.
- Individual Services: Provides individualized services including case management, life transition support, instructive self-advocacy, communication support and literacy assistance and much more.
- Support Groups: In-person support groups. Meet once a month in-person. On occasion, guest speakers may attend. Captioning will be provided.
