Victim Services

Provided by Greater Victoria Police Victim Services

Victim Services provides emotional support, practical assistance and referrals to individuals who have been victimized as a result of crime or trauma.
Highly trained staff provide information about available resources, case-specific information, police procedures, the court system as well as help with Crime Victim Assistance Program applications and Victim Impact Statements.

The Court Support Program provides information about the court process and victims’ rights, in-person court orientations, court updates, and accompaniment to meetings with Crown Counsel and during court proceedings. GVPVS is committed to empowering victims in becoming confident and competent witnesses, and to educating people about their role, rights, and obligations within the criminal justice system.

Services are free. Serves the Greater Victoria area.
