Greater Victoria Coordinated ID Service

Assists underserved clients access and apply for various IDs.
The Greater Victoria Coordinated Identification Service offers client-based, pro-active, and respectful ID services for underserved populations. In partnership with local community organizations, they have established a coordinated regional effort to increase access to services in acquiring or storing ID through weekly drop-in clinics, or by contacting their staff directly. Currently, they only host clinics in Greater Victoria and as the applications must take place in person, they must be in the region.

The organization currently assists clients with the following:
  • Booking ICBC appointments
  • Obtaining Birth Certificates for all Canadian provinces and territories
  • Obtaining BC Services Card & BCID
  • Obtaining Secure Status Card (SCIS) - renewal/replacement only
  • Operating as the required mailing address for applicants as needed
  • Name and gender change applications (temporarily unavailable)

If referring clients to this services, make sure to have the applicant with you so that we can gather as much information as possible and fast-track the process. A staff member will contact you or the applicant to follow up with any necessary steps.
