Provides counselling to individuals, couples and families living in Victoria.
South Island Counselling offer assistance for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, addictions, trauma, couples conflict, grief and loss, and so much more. The team is committed to providing the best possible counselling so you can achieve better emotional, psychological, and social well-being. They also offer three fee rates and in-person or online options to ensure everyone has access to the transformative power of Counselling. South Island Counselling is a counselling facility which offers pay-by-the-scale services. Counselling Type Includes:

Individual Counselling: Sessions are 50 minutes and fees vary based on income, ranging from $35 to $140 per session, adjusted according to a sliding-scale model.

Group Counselling: Sessions are 50 minutes long. Couples Counselling Sliding Scale - $140 per session – for couples with a combined gross annual income of $60,000 or more, and $100 per session – for couples with a combined gross annual income of less than $60,000. If standard fees pose a barrier, individuals are encouraged to reach out for additional support to access counselling by emailing. See contact below.

South Island Counselling offers a subsidy program to help cover up to 80% of the counselling costs. Those who do not have benefits to cover the cost of counselling and those who have a gross household income of less than $60,000 per year qualify for fee subsidies. Approved applicants will be placed on a waitlist and contacted when a spot becomes available. Fees are $35 or $65 per session for individual counselling, depending on eligibility. Subsidies are approved for a maximum of 12 sessions and are contingent on available funding. Subsidy application forms can be accessed through the provided links for the $35 and $65 rates.
