Helps kids overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation.
Jumpstart provides the following support:
Individual Child Grants: Provides funding (up to $300) to children (ages 4-18) who could not otherwise afford to participate in sports and recreation activities. The annual maximum amount a child is eligible to receive is up to $600, subject to Chapter discretion and/or local demands. To check for eligibility, click here.

Community Development Grants: Community Development Grants have two funding streams: Program Support and Operational Support. These grants help organizations that provide programming for kids between the ages of 4 and 18 in financial need or youth with disabilities between the ages of 4 and 25. Programming Support grants are awarded to help organizations develop or sustain the delivery of sport or physical activity-based programs, while operational Support grants are awarded to help organizations build their capacity to provide more inclusive, equitable, safe sport participant experiences. Play to Lead - Unleashing Women's Power Through Sport: Program fosters a powerful network of women and girls and provides an enabling environment for high-school aged athletes to reach their full potential as leaders in, and through, sport – while also advancing gender equity and diversity in sport. Girls aged 14–17 who are enrolled in high school, along with their coaches aged 18 and older who are actively involved in sport or recreation, are eligible to apply.
