Provided by Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC)
Provide services that serve, involve and advocate for the military community and their families and address the unique challenges of the military family lifestyle.
The MFRC provides various programs and services to help military personnel and families during their journeys from start to finish. The following services are offered:
- Resources and information prior to, during, and upon returning from deployment.
- Community integration services to better prepare new arrivals to life in Esquimalt
- Professional family supports addressing the unique aspects of the military lifestyle
- Individual and Family focused short-term counselling sessions
- Individualized social work supports
- Appropriate referrals linking military families to community, medical and educational organizations and resources
- Children's deployment workshop that will give kids the chance to hang out with others going through the same experience and stay connected to the deployed parent
- Weekly drop-in programs for kids and parents
