Provided by Victoria Sexual Assault Centre (VSAC)
Specialized Victim Service team provides victims with services connected to the Criminal Justice System.
VSAC supports victims of sexual assault throughout the Criminal Justice System process, including:
Note: Even if the assault, sexual or otherwise, occurred outside of Victoria or even Canada, but you are currently a local resident in the Greater Victoria area, VSAC may be able to connect and/or liaise for the victim with other relevant services. Please refer to the CVAP page for more information.
- Information, support and accompaniment in making police reports
- Information and orientation on the court process, including assistance with Victim-Impact statements
- Court accompaniment
- Case status information
- Assistance with applications for the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP)
