Comox Valley - Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT Clinic) - Health Connections Clinic - Addictions Treatment

Provides opioid agonist treatment and related services to Comox Valley residents who don't have a regular primary healthcare provider.
Opioid agonist therapy (OAT) helps treat addiction to opioid drugs such as heroin, oxycodone, fentanyl, and Percocet. The therapy involves taking medications that prevent withdrawal and reduce cravings. Medications include Methadone or buprenorphine (Suboxone).

Provides a unique, team-based approach when caring for people with complex medical and/or socio-economic needs. This could include mental health and substance use issues, homelessness, poverty, and complex chronic disease. The team is comprised of family doctors, nurse practitioners, social workers, registered nurses and administrative staff working with you as a part of a team to best support your health needs.

Works best for those challenged in finding a Family Practitioner and who have a medical and non-medical needs. Patients who already have a Family doctor should be referred to Comox Valley Addiction Clinic

  • Call to book an initial intake appointment with a primary care nurse
  • Get referred by an agency
  • Call to book follow up appointments

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM (closed for lunch from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)
