Rapid Access Addiction Clinic (RAAC) - Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT Clinic) - Victoria

Supports individuals with opioid use disorder by starting and maintaining clients on opioid agonist (replacement) therapy (Buprenorphine/Naloxone[Suboxone]/Methadone/Kadian).
Clients are enrolled in the multi-disciplinary, intensive, short-term service while they stabilize. Clients are supported as they transition to longer-term community services including primary care providers.

The RAAC offers:
  • Assessment
  • Buprenorphine (Suboxone), Methadone, or Slow Release Oral Morphine (SROM-Kadian)
  • Treatment plan creation
  • How to reduce harm to yourself and others
  • Take Home Naloxone
  • Referrals to social and peer support services
  • Supportive transitions to community services and supports
The RAAC accepts referrals from community providers, doctors, Island Health’s Substance Use Intake and from the hospital. Referred RAAC clients are offered booked appointments. Limited walk-in appointments are also available. If possible, please fill in the intake and referral forms and fax them together.

Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Navigation Link for Clients/Patients: This service link central access phone number will provide help for clients navigating Island Health services for substance use, harm reduction and mental health. People seeking these services can call 1-888-885-8824 to speak directly with a Service Link provider. (This is not a line for health professionals to initiate a referral).
